enter the dungeon

Recently Ive started playing Dungeons & Dragons, with some friends who have been playing for years. Having never played before its quite overwhelming, but really enjoyable.

The overwhelming part is the knowing what dice to roll to do this and which bonuses you add to the roll etc. This will no doubt come with time. The enjoyable part is the actual game itself. Not since my teens (playing computer games into the small hours) have I had that "lets just go a bit further before stopping" feeling. Not to mention the "where have the last eight hours just gone?" feeling.

All of the above, plus a unstopping selection of tasty nibbles and drinks - what a great way to spend an afternoon.
