Linux on an iPod

Not sure why Im posting something about an Apple product but anyway, this project has come to my attention - iPod Linux Installer. Its a way to install Linux on the iPod (and still leave Apples OS on there too). This has the potential to make quite a difference to certain groups of people, such as people who are into the podcast scene for example who could potentially run their podcast software directly on the device. People are already very enthusiastic about improving the interface design of the iPod, which not everyone likes. Although the project was only registered on sourceforge on the 19th of December, its at release 0.3 already. Its going to be very interesting to see where this goes and very interesting to see Apples reaction to it too.
